All countries and territories in the RoundObject catalog, each drawn as a circle with the same area as its land area. This is a size comparison, not a world map.
How to read it. The area of a circle equals the catalog land area in square kilometres. The radius is the square root of area divided by pi, then multiplied by a fixed display scale so the picture can be zoomed. Drag the background to pan, use the wheel or the + and − buttons to zoom, and press Aa to hide names. Fit frames every circle. Countries that sit next to each other here are not neighbours on Earth; the layout only keeps circles from overlapping.
What is included. 204 rows with a land area above zero. The largest is Russian Federation (16 376 870 km²). Next is China (9 388 210 km²). The smallest is Gibraltar (10 km²). The sum of these circles is 127 291 112 km². That sum double-counts nothing inside a country, but it is not “the area of Earth”: coasts, lakes and the way each source defines land area all differ, and Antarctica is absent.
What is left out. The European Union row is omitted because its members are already drawn and a second circle would double-count them. Taiwan, Kosovo, Macao and Antarctica have no row in this catalog. Five rows exist but are stored with land area zero, so they have no circle: Curaçao, Monaco, St. Martin (French part), Sudan and South Sudan. Dependent territories that do have a row (Greenland, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, French Polynesia and others) are separate circles, so they are not also inside the parent country. Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan and the Caucasus are one circle for the whole state, not split by continent. Open Europe, the Americas, Asia, Oceania or Eurasia for those cuts.
Data. Areas come from the legacy RoundObject country catalog imported into CatalogObject (source_key legacy, category countries). They are comparative figures for this site, not a fresh statistical release. Switch the metric in the studio if you want population instead of area; this published world is locked to area.

Как устроено. Радиус считается как корень из (площадь / π) и умножается на постоянный масштаб, чтобы карту можно было приближать. Фон двигается перетаскиванием, масштаб — колесом или кнопками, подписи прячутся кнопкой Aa. Кнопка Fit вписывает все круги в экран.
В мире 204 кругов с ненулевой площадью. Самый большой — Russian Federation (16 376 870 km²), затем China (9 388 210 km²), самый маленький — Gibraltar (10 km²). Сумма 127 291 112 km². Это не «площадь Земли»: нет Антарктиды, а определения суши в источниках различаются.
Нет строки Европейского союза — иначе члены союза посчитались бы дважды. В каталоге нет Тайваня, Косово, Макао и Антарктиды.
